Integrated Behavioral Health

At Delta Health our staff of highly trained Behavioral Health Specialists (BHS) has an integrated healthcare approach that focuses on whole-person care. This means our team works with you, doctors and nursing staff to improve your physical and emotional health. We offer short-term (1-12 visits), a solution-focused treatment that provides assistance when emotional concerns like stress, worry and depression or physical health concerns and other life problems begin to interfere with your daily life. BHS is located at Delta Health Family Medicine, Delta Health West Elk Hotchkiss, and Delta Health Adult Primary Care.

Our BHS assist patients in areas of:

• Developing coping skills to manage emotional or behavioral difficulties such as insomnia, anger, anxiety (worry), grief and loss, depression and excessive stress
• Developing coping skills related to chronic medical conditions
• Lifestyle changes
• Tobacco Cessation
• Weight loss
• Alcohol use

Patients can self refer to see an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician, however, we do request that individuals who self refer are established patients of a Delta Health clinic. You can request to see the BHS at the same time as your appointment with your medical provider, or you can meet with the BHS at a separate appointment.
